My Leadership Style
Is grounded in the teachings of Brené Brown; specifically her Book, Dare to Lead
Brown Brené. (2019). Dare to lead brave work. tough conversations. whole hearts. Ebury Digital.
Model the Way
I create a standard of excellence by being accountable; the examples I set also match my belief and intent.

Challenge the Process
As a social worker, I am trained to search for opportunities to change the status quo and think outside the box; I accept disappointments as an opportunity to learn.

Recognize the Contributions of Others
I recognize and share the rewards when we reach success as a team. Validating others' time, ideas, and approaches are a baseline standard of my operation.

Involve Others in the Change Process
I involve WHO the change affects, IN the change process. Front line staff, patients and families should be part of the solution, and are involved in my conversations around change

Empower Others
I foster collaboration and trust on my teams. I actively involve others, and strengthen relationships to make my colleagues feel powerful and heard supporting them to take risks.

Choose Courage over Comfort
Sometimes, leaders find themselves in positions of great discomfort. I will embrace the uncomfortable, and rumble with vulnerability, in order achieve success.
